Funny Online Games for Boys
Boys and girls have different ideas of what is funny. The jokes that make a boy laugh may make a girl wince or even just plain turn away in disgust. Boys are more likely to laugh at farts and boogers and smelly armpits than girls. That is not to say that there are not girls out there with an appreciation for the fine art of toilet humor, but it is definitely a male dominated game.
So what constitutes a funny online game for boys is different than what would constitute a funny online game for girls. There are a lot of games that cross the gender boundary, games that both girls and boys find hilarious, too, but in general, games will probably be funnier to boys than to girls, or vice versa. For instance, a game where you can race cars and smash them into walls and explode them into dozens of tiny parts, well, that's kind of a boy's sort of humor. Boys love explosions, violent slapstick and general silliness. The genre is also important. Where a girl might play a dress up game or a micromanagement game about running a shop, a boy tends to lean towards action, racing, that sort of thing, and both categories provide their own opportunities for developers to insert something humorous. For instance, a goofy hat is a common joke to include in a dress up game, but not that common a sight in an action game. Of course, at the end of the day, we all decide for ourselves what is and isn't funny, so your definition of a funny game is entirely your own.
